Artist Statement:

Using natural light and a bit of serendipity, I strive to create compelling black and white photographs that are evocative of an earlier time.

I am strongly drawn to photographing people. My street photography captures fleeting moments, spontaneous gestures and ephemeral juxtapositions of people with their surroundings. Situations that are unexpected, mysterious, humorous, bizarre or poignant intrigue me. I favor complex images that invite the viewer to linger and explore. These photos are neither posed nor staged and I do not interact with my subjects when making these images.

The intent of my candid photography is to provide a glimpse into aspects of the human condition by capturing private moments in public places.
