Artist Statement:

What can our environments tell us about who we are, our relationships, and the nature of realities? How do we enter a dialogue with the places we inhabit? My current work, Signals, investigates the creative cusp between the unmanifest (idea) and the manifest (form) through the metaphorical connections between water and sky, flight and ground. Kites become a vehicle for communication and interaction with the forces of nature. Through imagination, poetry, and whimsical associations between cosmic events and the details of everyday life on the ground, I aim to access a dimension of light-hearted cooperation.
